The CSU/APA chapter will be having their bi-weekly meeting today in the Bonda Room. Although there is no speaker for this meeting, there is still a good amount of information to take in. The focus of this meeting is twofold: one is on Teaching Cleveland, a a pending 501 (3) (c) organization with a stated mission to develop Cleveland-centered curricula in area schools that deepen an understanding of Greater Cleveland’s rich history, foster an appreciation of its varied resources, and equip participants with the skills and capacities to connect, collaborate, and commit. The another is on planning for the APA National Conference, which is fast approaching. We went to the Pecha Kucha event at the House of Blues last night (read: Japanese for chit-chat), saw the presenters and socialized.  There were about 500 or more people at the event, and about 15 APA members showed up.  However, we met up with other people from 20/30, the Young Professional Senate, and some recent graduates as well.  We went to Pickwick & Frolic after Pecha Kucha and celebrated Amelia Caldwell's birthday!  Fun night!
